Project Overview

More than 10,000 military staff performed their “last duty” to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth during the state funeral

All service personnel performed their personal and combined duties to the highest professional standards.

Wifinity were extremely pleased and honoured to support Operation BRIDGE by playing a critical role in supporting military personnel by providing a critical WiFi service at Forward Mounting Base – Feltham and other military locations across London and the South East.

The Successes

With less than 48 hours’ notice Wifinity deployed a section of installation engineers to MOD Feltham and worked tirelessly for 2 days to install a fully operational service to be ready for the first batch of service personnel to arrive at the forward mounting base. In total 6 large buildings were fitted for WiFi, this installation task was technically challenging in what was a busy and fully operational MOD site.

The WiFi service installed was high speed, and very easy to get online, this allowed the service personnel to keep in touch with their families and friends whilst transiting through the forward mounting base. The WiFi service also enabled them to keep updated and connected to their MOD issued devices.

Wifnity are so proud to have supported the Navy Army and Air Force personnel when they were undertaking their important duties throughout this memorable and historic occasion.
