London – 11 February 2025 – Wifinity, the UK managed internet services provider, has appointed Neil Heffernan as Group Chief Operating Officer. Neil will have a broad operational role leading all Wifinity’s technical, operational and delivery functions. He will play a key role in the company’s next phase of growth.

Before joining Wifinity, Neil was Chief Operating Officer at Community Fibre, leading the build, operation and technology development of its fibre network – driving a huge scale-up in network extent and customer connections. He has also held several senior commercial and delivery roles in defence, government and manufacturing sectors.

With a proven record of building and scaling telecoms operations, as well as experience in many of Wifinity’s key markets, Neil is a valuable addition to Wifinity’s senior leadership team.

Costas Demetriou, CEO, Wifinity said: ‘Neil is an important hire as Wifinity continues to scale. His ability to drive performance improvement and operational excellence, while keeping great customer experience a priority, will be invaluable in our next exciting phase.’

Neil said: ‘I’m excited to join the energetic and customer-focussed team at Wifinity, and am looking forward to helping the business provide connectivity for more customers.’

Established in 2007, Wifinity has seen double-digit growth over the last three years. With customers in defence, holiday parks and leisure, specialist accommodation, public sector, offshore, warehousing & logistics and EV, it provides critical connectivity in complex environments, often connecting people where traditional ISPs can’t or won’t.
