Securing a safe, compliant, flexible internet environment across 90 UK sites
Wifinity partnered with Mitie on a large Mitie MOD connectivity project that improved network safety and flexibility across 90 Defence sites. This project delivered secure internet services that support daily operations across the MOD estate. It also supports the wider Mitie MOD connectivity project that modernises Defence facilities.
After this migration, our teams fixed the network issues that needed attention. Next, they installed future proof networks in 73 UK locations from BBC Media City Lancashire to NHS Enniskillen Hospital.
In 2020, Mitie acquired Interserve Facilities Management (ISV FM). We supported this by migrating all legacy Interserve networks to a single Mitie solution.
Next, our teams installed a next generation firewall solution in 16 FDIS sites across Scotland and Northern Ireland. They also delivered solutions in Gibraltar and in one US visiting forces site in the UK.
The Successes
We deployed teams at speed across every project. As a result, they supported Mitie’s connectivity while staff completed and reviewed contracts and classified documents through the MOD SCIDA process.
