How to get online

If you have pre-registered your Wifinity account before you arrived at university and been sent a passcode.

If you have, simply connect to the ‘Wifinity Home Networking’ WiFi signal and enter your details.

If you’ve not received a code, follow these steps:

  1. The first time you use the WiFi, connect to the ‘Wifinity onboarding’ WiFi signal and use the registration page (or visit https://hotspot.wifinity.com if it doesn’t open in your browser).
  2. After you’ve set up your account we’ll email your secure password. You then need to change over to the ‘Wifinity Home Network’ WiFi signal and log in.

Connecting to this network gives you the best possible speeds. If you don’t switch over you will still be on the much slower network we use for the registration page.

Top tip: To go even faster, user a cable to plug your laptop into the internet port in your room.

Connecting your iPhone

To connect an Apple product, you may need to turn off your private MAC address.

  1. Go to your WiFi settings
  2. Click on (i) next to the ‘Wifinity’ network
  3. Turn off the ‘Private Wi-fi Address’

How to find your device’s MAC address
