Armed Forces Day 2026: A Thank You.

Saturday 27 June 2026 is a chance to recognise the people who serve and their families. From everyone at Wifinity, thank you.

We’re proud to play a small part. It’s something we think about every day. Because for many in the Forces, being away from home isn’t occasional. And that makes staying connected essential.

We provide connectivity across more than 160 MOD sites, reaching into Single Living  Accommodation, Service Family Accommodation and some of the spaces people rely on.

When you’re away from home and moving between bases, reliable WiFi helps maintain the connection to home, to support loneliness and wellbeing, not just devices. It helps reduce isolation, especially for those new to a posting. Our network now supports around 108,000 bedspaces, and while connectivity doesn’t replace being there, it makes distance easier.

What we’ve delivered since Armed Forces Day 2025

Over 2,000 additional bedspaces have been connected, alongside ongoing upgrades across existing sites, improving service for thousands of users and building on earlier improvements made to more than 10,000 rooms. Fibre has been extended to more service family housing, with new deployments across MOD sites to support both welfare and operational use. Network capacity has also been increased, with infrastructure now capable of delivering up to 10 Gbps where required.

We continue to invest in infrastructure that can be reused and expanded, reducing disruption on base and supporting the MOD’s long-term plans for more connected, digital estates.

We’ve shaped our services around how life on base works and have worked alongside the MOD for 20 years, building connectivity across a wide range of environments. Today, our infrastructure touches around 85% of the Defence estate, with continued investment planned to extend and improve it.

Thank you again to the defence community for your support and service. Enjoy YOUR day.
