Wifinity awarded central government connectivity contract under Crown Commercial Service framework

Wifinity, a leading UK managed internet services provider, has announced that it has been awarded a contract for a government organisation following a tender under the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Network Services 3 Framework (RM6116), Lot 2a.

The programme covers the design, supply, installation and support of a secure and resilient wired and wireless network for the department’s London headquarters, with the potential to extend services to other UK sites.

Wifinity’s solution will deliver a future-ready, dual-resilient network designed to eliminate single points of failure, ensuring continuity for its business-critical operations. The deployment includes:

  • Wireless-first connectivity for laptops and mobile devices, leveraging WiFi 7 and next generation edge security meeting and exceeding NCSC standards.
  • Wired connections to support audio-visual facilities in conference spaces.
  • GovWifi integration.
  • Support for corporate devices and BYOD/guest users, with the capacity to scale.

This award underscores Wifinity’s reputation for delivering enterprise-grade, government-ready solutions that are both secure and scalable.

Oliver Walter, public sector lead at Wifinity, said, “We understand that government organisations need high-performing networks that are also secure, resilient and able to cope with future growth and emerging applications. As a trusted provider under the Crown Commercial Service framework, we’re able to deliver secure reliable, and scalable connectivity for local authorities, central government departments, defence and enterprise customers across the UK.’
