Wifinity recently supported the Royal Air Forces Association through a charitable donation and a hands-on volunteering day at a RAFAKidz nursery.
As part of our ongoing commitment to social value and the communities we serve, we donated to the Association to help fund its work supporting RAF personnel, veterans and their families. The Association provides practical, emotional and financial support to those who have served or are serving in the Royal Air Force, as well as their dependants.
Alongside the donation, our team spent the day volunteering at a RAFAKidz nursery. These nurseries provide vital childcare for the children of serving personnel, helping families balance the demands of military life. We blitzed the outdoor spaces with general maintenance, tidying and gardening work to create a safe and welcoming environment for the children.
A subsidiary of the RAF Association, RAFAKidz is the largest provider of early years childcare to the RAF, offering affordable, high-quality childcare to military and civilian families living on or near RAF stations and MOD sites.
Wifinity already partners with the Association to deliver free WiFi services across RAF Station communal areas, contact houses and trainee accommodation. Our social value initiatives reflect our broader relationship with the Association, where we continue to look for meaningful ways to contribute beyond connectivity.
Rory O’Connor, Charity Director at the RAF Association, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome the Wifinity team to our nursery. We are incredibly grateful for their generous donation and their volunteering efforts. We simply could not fulfil our mission to support the RAF community without the help of volunteers, so I’d like to say thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help.”
Costas Demetriou, CEO at Wifinity, said: “We’re proud to support the work of the Association and to spend time with the team. It was a rewarding day and a reminder of the importance of the services they provide to the RAF community.
“We’re pleased to have had the opportunity to contribute and look forward to finding further ways to support the RAF community in the future.”
