Wifinity and Anchor pass 750 live properties milestone ahead of WiFi schedule

LONDON, 21 January 2026 – Wifinity and England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for people in later life, Anchor, have reached a major programme milestone ahead of target. More than half of Anchor’s later living properties are now live on Wifinity’s new managed WiFi service, with the remaining properties due to be completed within the next 18 months.

Designed to support the resident experience across its national portfolio, the award-winning digital inclusion programme delivers reliable, easy-to-use connectivity, enabling residents to connect their devices, stay in touch, access online services and enjoy digital entertainment. There are now 20,000 active customer accounts.

Colleagues are using the reliable, sitewide connectivity to deliver services more efficiently and to access the tools and information they need with confidence. Their insight and partnership with Wifinity’s teams have ensured the solution meets the diverse needs of different buildings, residents and care environments, strengthening the programme’s impact from day one.

Modernising WiFi provision across Anchor’s portfolio has seen Wifinity replace legacy solutions with a secure, scalable and consistently managed service, with a focus on operational resilience and minimal disruption for residents and staff.

Kerry Edmondson, Anchor’s Director of Technology and Data, said, “Passing 750 live properties ahead of plan is a meaningful step in modernising our portfolio. Reliable, building‑wide WiFi is already helping colleagues deliver services more efficiently and giving residents simple, secure connectivity for the things that matter—from staying in touch with family to accessing online services. Working with Wifinity, we’re future‑proofing our buildings ahead of the analogue switchover and laying strong foundations for smarter, safer homes across Anchor.”

Reaching more than 750 live properties ahead of schedule reflects close collaboration between the organisations. Joint planning, solution design and a consistent delivery approach across different buildings and resident needs have seen rollout move quicker than planned.

Alongside resident connectivity, Anchor now has centralised monitoring and management for improved visibility and control of its connectivity estate. Supported by Wifinity’s Network Operations Centre, reliable performance, fast issue resolution and a scalable platform have led to a better experience for Anchor colleagues and residents.

The milestone underlines Wifinity’s delivery of managed connectivity in multi-site, multi-tenant later living and care environments. For Anchor, its progress towards a connected, inclusive digital offer for residents and staff.

The remaining properties are scheduled to be completed by spring 2027.
