Managed Internet Service Provider, Wifinity, has acquired Next Connex, a UK network connectivity provider with expertise in WAN, SD-WAN and Infrastructure-as-a-service.

This is Wifinity’s second acquisition in 2023, following the recent acquisition of offshore vessel connectivity provider, Vital WiFi.

Wifinity delivers connectivity to customers where ordinary broadband doesn’t reach or a bespoke solution is required, including rural and remote locations such as military bases and holiday parks. Wifinity also provides services to other multi tenanted environments such as Later Living communities, Education environments, Public sector buildings as well as Enterprise broadband and connectivity. The Next Connex acquisition bolsters Wifinity’s technical and product capabilities, as the business has scaled its capabilities following investment from LDC in September 2021.

Operating for over 12 years, Surrey-based Next Connex builds and supports high performance network infrastructure to deliver quality networks, faster. It partners with independent UK data centres to offer customers a broad range of connectivity solutions.

Next Connex’s networking propositions bring agility and security to UK businesses.

Costas Demetriou, CEO of Wifinity, said: “We’re thrilled Next Connex has joined the Wifinity group within our Enterprise division. Although we have been working together for many years, this acquisition will enable us to both enhance our product offering and the depth of technical expertise we provide to our customers.”
